24-Hour Course Update

A few members of the 24 Hours of Falcon Ridge organizing committee, and 10-year old Teagan, got out to Falcon Ridge last night to finalize the course. Conditions were the driest we've ever seen—no standing water to been found anywhere we rode. Our bikes were still clean, and our bottom brackets dry when we loaded up for the drive home.

A 7.5 km loop using mostly the highest and driest terrain at the ski hill has been carefully assembled to ensure all riders can enjoy a fun, safe course that won't become too difficult to navigate after several hours in the saddle or once the sun goes down. We'd like to think we've taken the best Falcon Ridge has to offer: some fast rolling fire road, some flowing Canadian shield, and twisty single track through an enchanted forest.

Course summary
Distance: 7.5 kms
Elevation gained/lost: 160 metres
Lap time: 30 minutes (sport category)

The course will be accessible to riders of all abilities. Family teams and groups of friends are especially encouraged to attend. We look forward to seeing you out on the 24th!
